The extra-heavy oil in Shu1 area of Liaohe Oil Field is discovered in 1976. With further exploration and development of oil field, the different development contradictions in every stage appeared. high steam injection pressure and easy sand production at beginning of production. Serious interwell interference or steam breakthrough at middle of production. Long production cycle time, low peak of daily output, long drainage period, intensified contradiction, bad downhole conditions at the end of production. The level of extra-heavy oil single well is falling.In view of the contradictions in the middle and final periods of the production, the article bases on the efficient development of extra-heavy oil reservoir and oil recovery enhancement in ultra-heavy oil reservoir. We sort out the main development contradictions in middle and later periods and the single well production changing role of the ultra-heavy oil through the recognition of regional geological body and the main development contradictions in middle and later periods of CSS. We adopt the characteristic technologies of assemble steam injection during CSS, horizontal wells potential tapping and SAGD after CSS gradually. Implement through the scene, single well daily output rises and hits 8t/d, horizontal wells daily output is three times as many as single well daily output, the ultimate recovery of CSS and SAGD reaches about 60%.The reservoir has been developed successfully.
