Coffee carbon fibre is made of coffee grounds calcined into crystal through high-temperature, grind it until nanometer powder then added it to the polyester fiber, to produce a kind of functional polyester fiber, coffee carbon fiber.Coffee carbon fiber, as a new type of functional fiber, is not only very environmental protection but also has many characters,such as good moisture absorption, antibacterial deodorant, far infrared, regenerative heat preservation, the release of negative oxygen ions, anti-ultraviolet function. Coffee carbon fiber products have many advantages,the good texture, the wet gas absorption and the comfortable feelings. Therefore, they are very suitable for underwear, T-shirt and other close-fitting clothing. In addition, the coffee carbon fiber weaving products are widely used in bed, socks, shirt, towels and sportswear. but coffee carbon fiber filament used polyester as the carrier, the polyester fiber content is high,so that there is also a issue exist in the process of weaving,the bad performance of antistatic property. In addition, the filament is usually with relatively poor abrasion resistance and small force, the structure of the filament is loose, which is easy to wind and break wires in the weaving process. Besides, the filament can cause pilling and breaking,made the opening is not clear,which affecting the weaving process and the quality of the finished product.while sizing of coffee after carbon fiber filament has good performance of wearability and cluster,is good for weaving and the quality of the finished product.This paper researches on the problems existing in the weaving process, aims at sizing for the coffee carbon fiber filament,it can be summarized with the following aspects:(1)Many mechanical performance indexs of coffee carbon fiber were studied and tested. The strength of coffee carbon fiber monofilament is 4.573 c N, modulus is 28 c N/dtex, density is 1.20 g/cm3, moisture regain is 0.602%, the diameter is 10.514μm, the antistatic property test of coffee carbon fiber filament shows that carbon fiber filament has a 1.15 s half-life. The acid-proof and alkaline test shows that coffee carbon fiber has good resistance to acid and poor resistance to alkali.(2)The chemical structure of carbon fiber filament was studied by Infrared spectrum.Coffee of carbon fiber has characteristic peak C = O in the vicinity of 1720cm-1, it shows that the main components of the coffee carbon fiber are polyester.Due to coffee carbon powder in the production of carbon fiber, carbon,coffee fiber has phenolic hydroxyl group.(3)Based on the study of the coffee carbon fiber, according to the size adhesion mechanism and influence factors of adhesion performance, in accordance with the principle of "similarity", using acrylic monomers(methyl MMA MAA acrylic acid, methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate BA) which have affinity with coffee carbon fiber filament synthesized the polyacrylate paste for coffee carbon fiber filament.The synthetic polyacrylate paste for coffee carbon fiber filament test showed that the adhesion of the synthetic polyacrylate paste on polyester fiber roving has good adhesion.(4) According to the characteristics of the structure and the mechanical properties of carbon fiber filament, Formulated the selection principles of the coffee carbon fiber filament silk pulp component. Polyacrylate paste is choiced as main component and the PVA1788 and polyester which especially have better adhesive to coffee carbon fiber are also choiced. In addition, in order to overcome the dry lease difficulty and the easiness to produce secondary hairiness when using the chemical pulp, the esterification of starch which containing ester is choiced in the pulp components and the polyacrylate paste synthesised for coffee carbon fiber filament by myself are choiced. a total of four kinds of main size as coffee carbon fiber filament yarn sizing paste.The glycerol can be used to improve the hygroscopicity of sizing filament,thus to enhance antistatic property of the sizing filament as additives and then determine the different ratio of slurry of formula.Through the research on the test of size film performance, the suitable pulp formula is choiced for the sizing of coffee carbon fiber filament,namely PVA1788 25 kg,polyacrylate 5kg,polyester 15 kg, esterification of starch 25 kg.(5)Using the single factor analysis method to further study the formula under the condition of hygroscopic agent adding amount. Thus the final formula for coffee carbon fiber filament yarn sizing is obtained,namely PVA1788 25 kg,polyacrylate 5kg,polyester 15 kg,PR – Su 25 kg, glycerol 2kg.(6)Using the final formula to do the sizing experiment for specifications of 75D/72 F coffee carbon fiber, the cluster performance, wear resistance and the strength of the sizing coffee carbon fiber filament are all obviously improved.
