| CHINA is a large agricultural country which is rich in human resources, Labor resource has been one kind of the strong driving force to promote China’s economic development. However, with the economic development, many coastal cities and economically developed areas of CHINA are showing a phenomenon that those areas, a certain extent, are appearing labor shortages with different levels. On the other hand, with the improvement of the modernization agriculture and the using of efficient methods all lead to surplus agricultural population appeared. How to rational use this part of the surplus agricultural human resources has become an important factor for the healthy development of China’s economic and social progress. Thus, it owns quit important meanings to the reasonable labor transfer and scientific development that we research about the relationship between population and agricultural surplus labor to find out the spatial distribution of surplus agricultural labor conditions. Especially for Yunnan province which relays on agriculture very much, this research about surplus agricultural labor is much more important than others provinces.Currently, Yunnan province lacks the complete and reliable basis data of the surplus agricultural labor force. Since there is no scientific criteria to determine whether an individual is an agricultural surplus labor, and therefore cannot use simple statistical methods to obtain data, directly, that results in surplus agricultural labor force data is very difficult to obtain. The current study attempts to use indirect methods to predict, such as the skewness method of the structure, the proportion of arable land law, however these methods have certain limitations.This thesis is based on GIS technology to study and discuss the relationship between spatial distribution of surplus agricultural labor force and population of Yunnan province which aims to improve references to the exploit and using of the surplus agricultural labor resource.The main works are as follows:1. Analysis and research on GIS, spatial statistical analysis, and related theories and methods of agricultural surplus labor measure model for analysis and research.2. Collecting and processing the population of the county of Yunnan Province, area, per capita GDP, urbanization rate and other raw data, then taking ArcGIS as spatial data processing platform, producing and generating the spatial and attribute data which are needed for research and analysis in this article. 3. Using ArcGIS as spatial analysis tools, analyzing and spatial statistical the population resources of Yunnan, including the local spatial autocorrelation analysis and global spatial autocorrelation analysis, giving the results of the analysis and visualization of GIS.4. Proposing agricultural surplus labor measure model which is based on Chenery model, using nonlinear regression method to determine the model parameters, then using this model to analyze and calculate the agricultural surplus labor distribution of the Yunnan province. Paper gives a GIS analysis results and visualization expression, discussing and analyzing the distribution of surplus agricultural labor force and the population of Yunnan province. |
