Research On Information Content Industrial Policy For The Construction Of Smart City

As a new round of the wide application and high penetration of informationtechnology, information industry develops sustainably. Informationization has been themain characteristics of the urban development, which is making big changes and newbreakthrough to promote upgrading of economic structure and transiting of economicgrowth mode at the same time. Presently, China is entering the information resourcedevelopment phase, as a result, the information content industry is emerging rapidly. Smartis the inevitable trend of urban development, and developing information content industryis necessary for smart city. So far, the market economy system in our city is still imperfect,so that information content industry needs support and guarantee of the policy for nice andvast development. Under this background, it has very important theoretical and practicalsignificance for defining the concept and category of information content industry as wellas researching on the present situation and development trend of information contentindustrial policy.The focus of this thesis will be how to develop the information content industry underthe construction of smart city by relevant information content industrial policies. The thesisstarts from the definition of smart city and information content industry to explore therelationship between them. It is pointed out that information content industry in smart citymainly refers to digital content industry. On the basis of defining the concept and keydevelopment areas, it compares with the current situation of information content industrialpolicy home and abroad. Moreover, it further illustrates the problems that exist in thedevelopment process in domestic information content industrial policy through relevantdata. At the same time, it puts forward Chinese content industrial policy development trendand suggestions combined with the experience of content industrial policy in developedcountries or regions. In order to make the conclusion more detailed, five districts’information content industrial policies of Soochow are introduced and compared. Besides, the present situation and problem of the policies are analyzed concretely for makinginnovative advices, so as to enhance the credibility and practical value of the views.
