Being a major industry of the national economy, China real estate, which is a new industry with China’s reform and opening up, has become an important index to weigh economy. As a talent-intensive and modern enterprise, a good human resource management is significant to its future development.Among the work of the human resource management, performance appraisal is not only the top priority but also a managing link being attached importance to by modern enterprise. Besides, it is an important tool to improve the performance of the enterprise and its staff. Meanwhile, it is regarded as the most difficult task in the human resource management. The effective implementation of the performance appraisal has some significant effect on the management of enterprises as well as the realization of enterprises’ strategic goal.The core role of performance appraisal is being one of the most effective measures to assist enterprises to maintain and improve its productivity so as to achieve its goal. Based on improving the staff’s performance, the staff’s performance appraisal aims to assist the staff to find out the difference and finally improve themselves. What’s more, it can provide the data for rewarding and punishment.After analyzing the practical problem of the current human resource performance appraisal system of the A real estate enterprise, the writer finds out the existing problems and reasons. By redesigning the human resource performance appraisal system by means of Key Performance Indicator, the writer puts forward the performance appraisal index tailored for enterprise’s strategy. Moreover, in order to improve the staff’s performance appraisal and management in the human resource department of this enterprise, the method of quantizing appraisal and the connection between performance appraisal results and compensation can also be applied to the practice.
