A Study On Regional Economic Development And The Local Government Management Functions Of Science And Technology

Science and technology have currently been primary driving force for economicdevelopment and enhancing national power all over the world. They effect on thedevelopment of politics, economic and society more and more. In the face of increasinglycomplex international competition situation，in order to adapt to the needs of the developmentof Globalization, according to the situation of China’s economic and social development，andunder the guidance of National science and technology development strategy，to promoteregional economic development with the science and technology innovation, has become theurgent task to local government in our country. To promote regional economic developmentmode with innovation of science and technology, especially needs function construction andmanagement innovation by local government. The imbalance of regional economicdevelopment exists for a long time, the fundamental reason is that region can’t forminnovation mode to promote economic development. And that reflects Lack of the capacity ofgovernment scientific and technological management function to promote economicdevelopment. There are four parts in this paper, respectively expound: the internal relation ofregional economic development and government scientific and technological managementfunctions; analysis of the current situation of the local government administration of scienceand technology in China; investigation of the government to fulfill the functions at home andabroad; summary measures and suggestions that enhance the function of local government.Through the exploration and research on the topic, analyze and find the root of the problem,which can provide some useful experience and enlightenment to the local governmentscientific and technological management function construction.
