Huainan Mineral Group is one of thirteen National planning coal production areas. And it plays an important role in coal energy area. With the slowing down of Chinese economy and spreading of global financial crisis, especially national economic structure adjustment, the strategy of promoting development quality further applying. With the Coal enterprises’ competition is fiercer and fiercer, our national coal enterprises’ inner and out environment has a great change. However, as the resource company, with the coal’s price consistent falling, air pollution and environment protection pressure is increasing. Company must take consideration of continuing development issue. Coal company choose suitable development strategy to change the ways of economic development, speeding up industries structure adjustment, fulfill strategy transferring, taking the way of high efficiency and continuing development is the coal company solely choice.In this paper, empirical analysis and normative analysis of the combination approach to the characteristics of the coal companies as a starting point, the use of the general theory of corporate strategy emphasizes the use of theoretical analysis of the diversification strategy of coal enterprises need for strategic research, research and development strategy formulated Huainan Mining Group, the analysis of the Huainan Mining Group own advantages and disadvantages as well as external opportunities and challenges, based on the proposed development strategy for the Huainan Mining Group steady growth strategy.
