Research On Relationship Between Corporate Social Performance And Financial Performance

Study of financial performance and corporate social performance inrecent years, emerge in endlessly. The study of the relationship betweenmainly concentrated in two aspects，one is the direct study of correlation,the other is the social responsibility can help enterprises to createreputation effect, provide enterprises with a reputation of insurance effect.Business has a different view on the problem, by law and entrepreneurs’different characteristics, different enterprise play a different role insociety responsibility, some of them bear the responsibility regardless ofreturn, also have one look CSR as a good enterprise external publicityplatform. In this paper, we chose Tsingtao Brewery as a the object of casestudy because of it’s good performance on CSR and CSR report.The study observe industry and case corporate social performanceand financial performance，and then analysis the correlation between CSPand CFP, we use matrix model to analyze whether CSR activities canbring forth CFP and how did it worked. In judging Tsingtao Brewery’sCSR strategy we considered the overall situation, after that we putforward the strategy to the case enterprise related suggestions forimprovement. The main conclusions of this study are as follows: Foodand beverage industry’s CSR fulfillment is poor, but alcohol beverageindustry has good social responsibility performance; Tsingtao Breweryhas a good CSP and CFP; Tsingtao Brewery’s social responsibility performance activities brought good financial performance, andenterprise constantly increase investment to the social responsibility;Tsingtao Brewery will mainly adopt cost leading strategy. In the end, thepaper put forward some advices on strategies to follow.
