There has been a shortage of skilled workers in Fujian province in recent years, which is a by-product of the socio-economic development. This article firstly analyzes the structure of skilled workers in Fujian province, finding that this phenomenon is characterized by insufficient amount of skilled workers and incompetent available ones. Based on it, the article tries to get its causes by using the method of quantitative analysis, normative research with the help of relevant theories as well as data classification and collection. The result shows that this phenomenon is a result of the combination of the social, historicocultural and economic factors. Therefore, the article suggests that the government should base on Fujian’s situation, and take some measures to establish reasonable and sound incentive-evaluation mechanism so as to create a good social environment for training skilled workers; it is also hoped that the government could solve the problem of skill workers’shortage in Fujian province by applying a series of methods, like adjusting the educational structure, expanding the scale of vocational education, improving the competence of craftsmen, perfecting the human resources market, strengthening regional cooperation and the cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan or by achieving industrial transfer and upgrade. |
