In this era of fast booming for mobile internet economy, how to survive in the long term fierce competition? One key factor is the human resource management which can affect the survival and development of the organization. As the main part of human resource management, a good compensation system which integrated with organization strategy is very important to attract, keep and motivate talented people. It can also introduce the values of the organization to reach the win-win results for both employee and employer.L company is a small-medium size online retailer for sports products which is dedicated to sales and service. Main part of the employee are e-business service and operation people. Compared with the rapid progress of operation performance, human resource management is lagged too far behind the business performance. The management level of the organization cannot match with the level of operation. This thesis has analyzed current problems in L Company’s compensation system. The author also has worked out the proposal to upgrade the existing compensation system. So the new proposal which can match the current situation and future development is the main focus of this research.This thesis is composed by six chapters. Chapter one is the introduction part. Chapter two is the literature review for compensation system design. This chapter has briefly introduced related concepts and theories about compensation. Chapter three is the brief introduction about L Company’s current human resource management situation and existing compensation system. This chapter also analyzed the problems in the current system with diagnosis. Chapter four is the proposal part which aims to solve the current problems. The target and details in the proposal are specified in this chapter. Chapter five is about the execution steps of the new proposal. The difficulties and related procedures for the new proposal was debriefed in this chapter. Chapter five also showed the comparison between the new proposal with existing one. Chapter six is the conclusion of the thesis and also the future research projection.This thesis is based on theories about compensation. The research is carried on the background of current situation and the existing problems in the compensation system. The research also brings up new proposal which can be effectively to solve the problems. The new proposal can be referred to the similar organization for compensation system design.
