Study On The Relationship Between Rural Poverty And Social Security Level

Since China’s reform and opening up, China’s economy and society has beendeveloping rapidly, the income level of rural residents has been increased rapidly, ruralpoverty population has fallen dramatically, and people’s attention to rural poverty isbecoming more and more high. As a net that ensure the basic life of rural residents’ safety，rural social security system is one of the important measure to meet the demand of ruralresidents’ basic life. The level of rural social security system affects total amounts ofpoverty population and the level of their lives.Based on consulting a large number of relevant literature and data, this paper adoptthe methods of the combination of qualitative research and quantitative research to explorerelationships between rural poverty and rural social security level. The specific researchwork are as follows: First of all, summarize the concept and the development of povertyand social security level from the basic theory of poverty and the level of social security.At the same time analyze the current situation of rural poverty and the rural social securitylevel in China.Secondly, using the SPSS statistical software and EXCEL software to quantitativeanalysis the statistical data involved in this paper, do research on the influence of eachindex of rural social security level of rural poverty specificly. On the basis of qualitativeanalysis, this paper build the index system of rural social security level and rural poverty.Chose11indicators for rural social security level and16indicators for rural poverty. Byusing the EXCEL data processing software, carries on the statistical analysis of the therelated data collected in30parts of the country, then do factor analysis of the rural socialsecurity level and the rural poverty by using the SPSS statistical software. translate the11indicators of rural social security level and16indicators of rural poverty into four mainfactors, then draws the factor score of the rural social security level indicators and rural poverty indicators in30regions. And do rank analysis of the comprehensive scores of the30regions. Do regression analysis by using the SPSS statistical software, the compositescores of rural poverty as to be explained variables, the various factors of the rural socialsecurity level as explained variable. Results show that the influence degree of the firstfactor of rural social security level to the rural poverty is-0.473, the comprehensive effectdegree of the rural social security level on the rural poverty is-0.608.At the end of the paper, put forward some suggestions to improve rural social securitylevel and eliminate rural poverty in our country according to the result of quantitativeanalysis.
