J Company Low Volume/high Mix Product Lean Production Study

Lean Production System(LPS) is the second time after world war II, Japan’s Toyotamotor corp., under the condition of lack of capital and market demand, in the process ofchasing the European and American developed country automobile manufacturing tocreate a different from the western mass Production of new mode of Production. TheMassachusetts institute of technology studied Japan’s Toyota production system in theinternational automobile research project and summarized it as Lean Production System.Lean production System is integrated the advantages of batch production and singleproduction, to eliminate waste, reduce inventory and shorten the production cycle, makesevery effort to achieve low cost&in time production. The ultimate goal is through theoverall process optimization and continuous improvement, balanced logistics, efficientlyuse of resources, eliminate waste, reduce the cost and shorten the production cycle,achieved with the least amount of inputs (personnel, equipment, time and space, etc.) to thecustomer to provide the best value. Continuously pursue perfect and excellent production.Lean production emphasis on in time, right amount, proper material.The related research of high mix&low volume production mainly from the fastchanging mould, multi-species production balance, flexible production plan and other pointof view to improve the production efficiency, reduce manufacturing cost. For circuit boardassembly line mainly concentrated in the SMT process, only study SMT process. Thisarticle aims to study the technology of process standardization, starting from the productdesign, to optimize product design, to improve production process, standardize thesoldering materials, optimize parameter setting, improve production imbalance, reducechangeover time, which can effectively improve the production efficiency, reduceproduction costs.
