| With the accelerated process of economic globalization, especially the rapid development of China’s accession to the WTO, China’s engineering construction market has entered a relatively mature stage. Generally speaking, construction equipment and material costs account for50%to70%of the overall total project cost. Quality of the equipment and materials, the punctuality of the supply will have a direct impact on the progress of the project. Therefore, procurement management becomes an important work for engineering companies. Currently, the project construction is showing high value, low profit margin and fierce competition in the industry trend. For the sustainable development of the company, we must raise awareness of the importance of procurement management to enhance the efficiency of procurement, and reduce the procurement process costs.This article is based on research object L Company. Under the study on supply chain management theory, engineering and procurement supply chain management theory background, combining with the actual situation of L Company, it studies the optimization of procurement management for L Company. The article firstly elaborated the concept and structural model of construction supply chain and its management, procurement management and related theories and methods, combined with construction supply chain procurement management. To L Company, it introduces its industry background, and its current status of procurement management. Then it analyzes its main problems of procurement management. Finally, with the combination of L Company procurement management issues, using the theory of construction supply chain management and procurement management, it puts forward measures to improve procurement management and vendor management optimization solutions for L Company. |
