Supply-chain management is a new management concept and model, which is paid more and more attention recently at home and aboard. Now the study on construction supply-chain managemen(tCSCM)is still in the development stage. After our country's accession to WTO, construction industry concerned more about how to master the opportunities and challenges, change the obsolete management model, and enhance competitiveness. Facing the increasingly competitive pressure and various consumer demands, the management model of the construction industry must shift from production style to market-oriented style. It's critical to quickly respond the demand, integrate project teams and resources. This paper tends to resolve some issues in the CSCM, contributing to improve the process of supply-chain and enhance the competitiveness.Firstly, the paper compares the CSC with the supply-chain in manufacturing industry based on the analyzing of the CSC's characters. Construction industry typically products as make-to-order way. The CSC has more characters as uncertainty, fragmental, converging.Next, the paper found the general process of CSC by practically investigating and conclude the problems existing in the CSC. It defines and classifies the study content of the CSC.Then, the paper conducts a deeply research on several problems such as the choose-making of CSC cooperation relationship; construction material procurement. It presents the method to choose the best supplier, the ways to set purchasing policy, and make case-study supplier's performance evaluation integrating price, quality and delivery. Finally, the paper points out the completing manner of the CSCM based on the status quo of our country's construction industry by the case-study. It advocates reengineering the process of CSC by information technology. In the end of the paper author expects the future of the CSCM, and bring forward the three layers of the CSC integration, which need further study.
