If port enterprises want to keep theinvincible position in an evolution of the economic environment, managementactivities are necessary, such as scientific and reasonable performanceevaluation, and strengthening of management. With the speeding up of theprocess of our reform and opening up, the pace of increase, Chinese port powerhas developed stronger and the achievements are obvious to all. However,Chinese authorities can’t ignore the changing environment and constantintensification of competition because the past achievements. It is necessary tobe vigilant and promote the development of ports in the future on the basis ofexisting results. Therefore, in order to prompt the port enterprises in our countryon the international stage to have a bigger development space. The paper doesnot research port performance evaluation between countries, but the portenterprise performance evaluation in our country. Domestic ports competitionbetween enterprises is also very fierce, port enterprises which evaluatesperformance effectively are more likely to win in the competition. This is theother important reason for focus on domestic port listed companies.The research builds a set of port listed companies in our country actualsituation of the performance evaluation index system by using the FactorAnalysis to the port performance evaluation of listed companies in our countryon the basis of previous research.First, the article introduces the related concept and basic theory, and givesthe definition of enterprise performance and evaluation on one’s own. Secondbuild a set of scientific and reasonable index system according to the generalprinciples of the index building, and combining with the business activities.Finally, adopt the Factor Analysis to the performance evaluation to the port of17listed companies as samples.
