Research On TM Company’s R&D Management For Safety Related Railway Products

With the rapid development of railway, the demands for railway equipment are increasing rapidly. In order to guarantee the safety and efficient operation of the railway, the reliability and safety of railway equipment should be increased. The requirements for the important technical equipment which to ensure safety of railway operation should be strict in safety. The R&D process not only focuses on quality of the product but also ensures safety target carried out, so the especial demands for R&D management are proposed. How to improve R&D management system to satisfy with the demands for the safety related railway products become an urgent problem for those railway products enterprises. This paper from discussion on the problems in the TM Company’R&D management for safety related railway products, improves R&D management system according to the demands of safety related railway product, promotes R&D support capabilities of safety related railway products.Firstly, this paper introduces the R&D management for safety related railway products, including the theory for R&D management for general products and safety related railway products. Then, TM Company’s current R&D management for safety related railway products is analyzed by questionnaire and interview. According to the demands of safety related railway products, some problems are found in management on process, organization and technical environment by comparative analysis and case analysis. At last, some improvement solutions in process, organization and technical environment are proposed. These improvement solutions are used to guide R&D management and improve R&D ability of safety related railway products in TM Company.The object surveyed in this paper is TM Company, the product of which is changed from non-safety to safety. Although the existed general R&D management is fairly complete, it still can’t be satisfied with safety related railway products. This paper based on general R&D management, sets up safety related products R&D process, builds appropriate organization and strengthen the technical environment etc according to the especial demands of safety related railway products, finally to establish the R&D management system for safety related railway products.
