Implementation Of CMMI In The Management Of Banking Software Organization

CMMI, which created by SEI(Software Engineering Institute), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes. The modern banks face the challenges that come from the fast developing of information technology. How to increase the core competence thought implementing software technology? How to build up the software development team? And how to manage the software development team that is quite different from the traditional team? The thesis will answer the questions above.The thesis analyze the information technology implementation in banks based on Mckinsey Model, illustrate the importance and necessary to build up software organization in banks, demonstrate the advantage to implement CMMI in the software organization. Based on the analysis above, research on HSBC Group and the experience of author, the thesis educes the management model in bank's internal software development organization.The thesis is based on investigation on case analysis and research on theory.
