Research Of Mechanism Of Industry Association In The Trade Dispute

In the period of Twelfth Five Year Plan, Chinese market economy will usher inthe multiple challenges of economic transition. The market participants, regardless ofthe enterprises or the government, will face new requirements, which is made by therapid development of market economy in China. On the foreign trade aspect, afterentering WTO, the development of Chinese foreign trade is rapid, and the status in theinternational market continues to improve. Meanwhile, foreign trade dispute isintensified. Therefore, to seek effective ways to resolve trade dispute as soon aspossible, can be said to be a pressing matter of the moment in the field of foreigntrade.In economic activities and the domestic and foreign market competition, tradeassociation, as the intermediary organization of enterprise and government, has beenrichly endowed the advantage. This paper considers the mechanism of tradeassociation,which is used to resolve trade dispute, will be fruitful, in the field ofaccomplishing the goals of Chinese foreign trade and economic transformation. Theresult is also worth expected. Therefore, both in theory and practice, the research ofthis paper has very important significance.In this paper, on the basis of widely absorbing existing research, we give a reexpansion of Industry Association (including association organization) definition, andbriefly analyzes the characteristics and the insufficiency of existing literature in Chinaand abroad. The paper finally indicates a general judgment to point the researchdirection on the mechanism of Industry Association in trade dispute. More importantly,this paper combines the methods of empirical analysis and normative analysis,enumerates three domestic and foreign representative cases in the role of trade dispute,respectively, Cotton Textile Industry Association (South Korea, referred to as SWAK),Wenzhou Smoking Set Association (Chinese), and the European Union. After a briefdescription of the cases, we can find out the mechanism of collective action ofindustry association in trade dispute by theoretical analysis. Then, using the collectiveaction model of Olsen and the introduction of reputation mechanism, we can make thegeneral theory of the role of industry associations in trade dispute. At the same time, according to the characteristics of Chinese foreign trade, we can clairvoyantlyanalysis the reasons of "failure", and the follow the above, we can summed up thegeneral mechanism of action in accordance with the actual China. After absorbingsuccessful experience in these case, we can give suggestions about the constructionand development of the foreign trade in China, finally get the conclusion of this paper.
