With the pace of reform continuing to move forward, development zone appears as time goes by. Its contribution to the national and local economic development is also becoming increasingly clear. And it becomes an important base for the industrial transfer and technological innovation. It also creates the conditions for enhancing the competitiveness of regional industries and taking part in the international competition. But we should recognize there are so many land use structure problems in its developing process. Exploring the evolution characteristics and driving forces of land use structure can not only help to allocation the land resources effectively and maintain a reasonable operating mechanism of the land use system. It is also meaningful to arrange the land demand in various fields and layout the industrial structure reasonably. This paper takes Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone as the research object, supporting on the system theory, location theory, man-land coordination theory, land payment decline theory and urban spatial structure theory, using the field survey data and social economic data, with the help of SPSS and DPS mathematical analysis software, through the analysis of the data of the land use structure for the study area, to reveal the characteristics and changing rules of the land use structure in the region and discusses the evolvement mechanism from qualitative and quantitative angle, to provide decision basis for the sustainable development of the land use planning and social economy for Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone. The first chapter is the preface part. Firstly, it mainly introduces the background and the theoretical and practical significance of studying on the land use structure. Secondly, it comprehensively summarizes the related research progress both at home and abroad. Then it presents the main content, methods and technical route. The second part introduces the basic concepts and main theories supporting the thesis involved in this paper. The basic concepts are development zone, land use structure and the land use structure of the development zone. The main theories include system theory, location theory, man-land coordination theory, land payment decline theory and urban spatial structure theory. The third chapter expounds the regional situation and analyzes its natural conditions, social economic conditions and its development situation. After researching the current situation of the land-use structure, the fourth chapter analyses the evolution law of land-use structure from the time series and land space layout points. In the study of the land structure change at the time series point, the magnitude of change, dynamic degree, entropy, equilibrium degree and advantage degree indicators are adopted. It is found that the residential land and the industrial land increase by a big margin and the commercial land dynamic changes mostly in the study period. Besides the land use structure tends to evolve orderly and balanced. In the study of the land structure evolution from the land space layout point, this paper analyzes the space layout evolution of all the classes. It is found that each type can meet the development need in this study area. But the commercial land and the public land change unreasonably. At the basis study of the evolution characteristics of the regional land use structure, the fifth chapter explores the social economic and technology driving mechanism. It is found that the industrial structure and economic growth factors affect strongest to the land structure evolution of the study area. The sixth chapter is the conclusion and the recommendation part, it generalizes the completion and the innovation and the shortage of this study, and put forward relevant countermeasures at last.
