In the new century, the Internet has played an increasing important role in social economy and people’s lives, and network communication, online shopping and online games have become a part of public life. Because of the business opportunities existing in the Internet field, the Internet field often emerges legendary company, from world-famous companies such as Google, Facebook and Twitter to domestic companies such as Baidu, Tencent and Alibaba Group. The owners of those companies started their company from scratch, and their companies have developed into national famous even world-renowned companies, accumulating a lot of fame and wealth, which also inspires entrepreneurs to have an increasing number of entrepreneurial enthusiasms to start a business, and makes the Internet enterprises is in the ascendant.However, there is little research literature in exploring Internet business social networking features. The current research literature is fragmented an unsystematic. Therefore, this thesis explores socialnetworking features and impact of Internet companies from theperspective of social network theory, trying to investigate the factorshaving impact on survival and development of Internet business fromthe perspective of social network. First, this thesis reviews anddefines the fundamental theories and concepts of social network andInternet company. Secondly, this thesis explores the social networkfeatures and impact the Internet company has from theoretical andempirical levels:(1) In the early days of Internet entrepreneurship,the bigger the social network is, the faster the enterprises develop,but with the development of scale, the trend develops in the oppositeway. Only valid network size and enterprises’ growth can promotetechnological innovation, while overlap and redundancy relations willhider;(2) The density of Internet enterprise social network and thestrength of link also have their own features, that is, we shoulddistinguish objects when we put the density of Internet enterprisesocial network and the strength of link into consideration, whichmeans the increasing network density and strength with customers,financial institutions and research institutions can promotetechnology innovation, while the interaction with government toooften has a bad effect on enterprise’s innovation, and may have a badeffect on enterprise’s healthy development. Internet business development or growth is a continuous process of approaching theprocess industry network center, and approaching the center of thesocial network can make the "Matthew Effect" generation, thuscontributing to the progress of enterprise knowledge transfer,technology, and development of enterprises.(4) The concerns theInternet enterprises have over the effective size of the social networkand the concerns and compensation The Internet enterprises haveover network "structural holes" can promote the rapid development ofenterprise. Finally, according to the theoretical analysis andempirical study, features of social network of Internet enterprisesand the impact features of social network has on the development ofenterprises are given, and reasonable suggestions are given based onthe results of the Internet business development and technologicalinnovation:(1) Internet enterprises must constantly pay attention totheir effective size of the network;(2) Internet enterprises shoulddistinguish objects to maintain social contact network density andstrength;(3) Internet enterprises must constantly strive to approachthe center of the social network industry. |
