Study On Evaluation And Development Strategy Of Tourism Resources In Laiwu City

With the development of economy, the tourism, as a clean and efficient service sector, hasbeen paid more and more attention. Tourism has been growing steadily in the area proportion ofthe industrial structure, and playing more and more important role in the region economy. Thetourism has been developing rapidly in recent years in the whole country. It develops fast and thescale is apparently improved.Tourism resources are the foundation of a regional tourism development. In order totransform potential advantages in tourist resources into realistic socio-economic advantages, thesize and the quality analysis of tourism resources must be done, as well as the distribution andclassification. Scientific evaluation of the tourism resources can provide a reference of masteringthe local tourist development focus. Then on this basis, the scientific development strategies areproposed. Therefore, to ensure the fast, healthy and sustainable development of regional tourism,scientific and rational evaluation of tourism resources is the basis of great importance for thedevelopment and protection of tourism resources.Though the tourism resources in Laiwu City are relatively abundant, they are not popular inthe country, even in the Shandong province, owing to the lack of scientific and effectivedevelopment. Therefore it is necessary to make scientific and rational evaluation of tourismresources in Laiwu City, in order to turned potential advantages in tourist resources in LaiwuCity into tangible economic benefits to the greatest extent. Combining with the researches on theevaluation of tourist resources at home and abroad and the field investigations on the basis of theactual situation of tourist resources in Laiwu City, a study on comprehensive evaluation oftourism resources in Laiwu City is done by using the analytic hierarchy process. The resultshows that:(1) The tourist resources in Laiwu City are relatively abundant and most of them are with agood quality. But the tourist resources with high quality are seldom, and the most are not popularin Shandong province. Great potential of exploring tourism resources needs to tap.(2) There is a great advantage for natural tourism resources in both quality and quantity in terms of tourist resources types.(3) In terms of the spatial distribution of tourist resources, the northern part in Laiwu City isthe best, and the southern part is second. The middle part is relatively weak.Combining with the background of establishing the cooperation area between Jinan Cityand Laiwu City, development strategies of tourism resources are eventually proposed in LaiwuCity, including the overall orientation, the design of tourism products, the development pattern oftourism resources, the design of tourist routes and the safeguard measures.
