With the rapid development of global economy,people have recognized that corporate culture is of great significance to corporations’ future.Since the essence of competition between companies mainly involves their culture,they could not survive without the ridge of their culture.Furthermore,culture diagnosis and evaluation,a necessary presupposition for management practices, contributes great to constructing harmonious culture in firms.Though concerns of culture diagnosis and evaluation have raised among experts at home and abroad,certain limitations still exist and culture construction in some industries even go into wrong ways.Therefore,more focuses and solutions are needed to guide the way.Based on managerial realities,This paper conducts research on corporate culture diagnosis and evaluation at a tobacco company of A city.Firstly,This paper elaborates background,purpose and future meanings of the study as well as weakness and strength of organizational culture models at home and abroad.Besides,the research conducts analyses and improvements for Denison model with the help of organizational culture related theories.As a result,we present an corporate culture diagnosis and evaluation model appropriate for China’s environment.Therefore,a refined model is applied to culture diagnosis and evaluation for tobacco companies of A city. With the support of IBM’s Statistical Package for Social Sciences(Version20.0),we make a factor analysis for data from the questionnaires.This analysis proves the rationality of refined Denison model,and concludes the advantages and disadvantages of tobacco companies’ culture of A city.Finally,discussion section indicates limitations and promotions of corporate culture construct as well as suggested solutions for each weakness of selected companies in detail.
