Since reform and opening, chinese tourism has developed rapidly.And it has become anew type of industry in china. As we all know, the tourism’s survival and development dependon the tourism resources which are the basis of this industry. But now many areas in china arein the early stages for the development of tourism resources. On the one hand, hedevelopment of tourism resources are lack of planning and entirety. On the other hand, thetourism resources are short of protection.Chengde is known to world by the good name of " Zisai Bright Pearl", and it is a famoustourist attraction with abundant and special tourism resources. Chengde city pays greatattention to the development of tourism, and do their best to develop the effect of tourism indriving the economy of scoiety. Recent years,"Leisure City","Leisure Valley","LeisureRiver" and other tourist spots with great northern features have been constructed one by one.It has not only promoted the development of the neighbouring tourism market, but alsodeveloped the tourist market of the surrounding cities. Also, this provides jobs to more socialworkers. Because Chengde’s tourism resources are constrained by the level of developing andusing, and the finance devetion of local area, thier development and utilization are obviouslydeficient.So, this paper takes Chengde city which belong to Hebei province as research object.Based on the research status at home and aboard, the tourism resources in Chengde city havebeen recognised detailedly, and the recent status of developing and using have been analyzed.Related with the problems existed in the developing process, some reasonable developmentstrategies have been raised, expecting to be benefial to the development of Chengde’s tourismresources.
