With the development of electricity industry, the service of the power grid enterprises hasbeen approved, which makes the electric provision steadier and the reliability of the powersupply improve continually. Guaranteeing the durable and steady power supply has becomethe service requirement of the power grid enterprise. In recent years, many large-scale poweroutages took place worldwide, making serious impact to the citizens. Whether it couldachieve rapid power restoration has become a target for measuring the service quality of thepower grid enterprises. For doing emergency repair and achieving rapid power restoration, it is necessary to getthe emergency material supplies support in short time to meet the demands of electricalequipment repaired. Meanwhile, power grid enterprises need to reduce its operation cost, improving the economic efficiency in order to improve the profitability. How to achievebalance between ensuring the material supplies’ service level and improving the economicbenefits has become a new requirement of emergency material management to the power gridenterprises.Jointly Managed Inventory (JMI) model is utilized to do some case study on emergencymaterial management of Guangdong Power Grid Corporation (GPG). First, on this thesis, wewould comprehend some study achievements and cases by literatures. Second, we get toknow the basis status and find out main problems by interviews. Third, inventorymeasurements of five warehouses including province and cities would be figured by modeling.Fourth, inventory results will get a check by simulation. Finally, we pose some measures toensure the availability of JMI model for emergency material management. The result shows that GPG could manage emergency material by JMI model. It gainsgood performance as keeping a high service level of99.9%to support rapid power restorationand lowering present inventory cost to increase economic benefits at the same time.
