As the foundation of our national economy, building industry has played a crucial role in China’s economic development. In recent years, due to the application of macroeconomic regulations for real estate and the gradual saturation of the market, China’s construction enterprises are falling into fierce competition. Meanwhile, the extremely low residual profit rate and the sharply growth of construction materials costs, labor fee, machinery rents and acquisition costs have further reduced the profit margins of construction enterprises. Therefore, the present management mode, which is extensive and consumptive, has been difficult to satisfy the needs for the development of construction enterprises. Accordingly, construction enterprises urgently need to build some efficient management systems and mechanisms, which are aid to conduct a comprehensive, rational and modernized management for construction projects. Thus, the enterprises of building industry may improve their competitiveness s and the capacity of adapting to the new environment and period, so as to create more economic benefitsBY Company, which is state-owned, is one of the well-developed construction companies in domestic. However, with the expanding lately, the company’s operation has been seriously affected by the issues of talent shortage and extensive management. Under the severe circumstances, BY Company has made a lot of useful attempts and built a standardized system of project management for enterprise in accordance with the PMBOK theory. The thesis, which is written on the basis of theoretical research, practical operation of enterprises and some practical cases which are mainly on the implementation of standardized project management, focuses on the application of PMBOK theory in Project Management of BY Company. At the same time, according to the actual situation of building industry, enterprises and the implementation of standardized project management, the thesis makes some complements for the PMBOK theory and brings forward an effective standardized project management system for BY Company.This thesis develops a suitable standardized project management system for BY Company in two dimensions, which include project management process and project management system module, on the basis of PMBOK system. The project management of BY company, which include three processes of Project preparation, Project construction and Project ending, is built with the five management process of PMBOK (i.e."Start","Plan","Executive","Control","Ending").Among the processes above, the Project preparation covers "start" and "plan", five major management process, and the Project construction covers the "executive" and "control" process. Similarly, the Project ending corresponds to the " finishing " process.According to the analysis and integration of the ten Knowledge Areas in PMBOK theory ("Project Integration Management","Scope Management ","Time Management","Cost Management","Quality Management","Human Resource Management","Communication Management","Risk Management""Purchasing Management","Stakeholder Management") and the organization structure and internal processes of BY Company, the thesis constructs eight major management modules for BY Company, which named as security management, cost management, technology and quality management, construction management, materials management, contract management, human resources management and integration management. And each module’s standardized process, which is integrated with three management phases, has achieved a standardized system designed for project management integration.In order to ensure the operability, integrity and scientific nature of the standardized system, the thesis has sorted and refined each process, and clarified the mutual relationship between each module of the eight major management modules. Afterwards, some specific implementation measures, which are for standardized project management, have been put forward from the enterprise level and project level. Project Integration Management is not only the synthesization of standardized modules, but also the tests for standardization of every module and the extend of each process. Hence, the success of integration is ensured by the extremely detailed of the process for each module and the close relationship between modules. Besides, BY Company also provides a standardized platform for the integration of information during their innovation of standardized project management. Currently, also from another aspect, the well running of the information platform has proved the success of constructing and implementing the company’s standardized project management.Therefore the standardized project management system build in the thesis has a good application effect, and brings tremendous benefits for BY Company and their project department. The analyzes, which mainly on the actual situation of the implementation of standardized project management of BY company, in the thesis, has not only clarified the paths in future development for BY Company, but also has an significance on the development of other domestic construction enterprises.
