| Global Value Chains Specialization not only creates more interests for developed countries, but also provides new opportunities and conditions for developing countries to take full participation in the international division of labor and give full play to its comparative advantage in labor resources. After decades of development, the development level of China’s auto industry is also far behind the United States, Europe, Japan or South Korea, and the development of new energy vehicles just started. Therefore, under the conditions of Global Value Chains Specialization, how to determine the thoughts and measures of China’s automobile industry development to achieve China’s automobile industrial structure optimization and upgrading is an urgent need.Firstly, this paper summarizes and sorts the domestic and overseas research situation of automotive industrial upgrading under the Global Value Chains Specialization. Then Chapter II analyzes the industrial upgrading mechanism under intra-product specialization in detail where the motivation, innovation, foreign associations and government action are considered as the basic elements of industrial upgrading under Global Value Chains Specialization. Motivation is the source of industrial upgrading, including the demand pull and supply push; innovation is the root cause of industrial upgrading; foreign association reveals the basic path of industrial upgrading; Government action is to protect that the above-mentioned factors can efficiently promote industrial upgrading. In order to understand deeply the background of global automotive industry Global Value Chains Specialization, chapter III discusses the modes of global automotive industry Global Value Chains Specialization, and summarizes the characteristics under the new mode. Chapter IV takes a more systematic analysis at China’s auto industry. In motivation, designing a new indicator called "degree of pressure", this chapter use the indicator and the data of China’s automobile production and sales to analyze the relationship between the motivation and automobile industrial upgrading. In innovation, the chapter introduces the R&D investment and R&D results of China’s auto industry, then builds a production function model of the contribution techniques rate and does a empirical analysis; In foreign association, this chapter establishes a game model of domestic and foreign auto parts enterprises and analyzes the relationships between foreign association and auto industry upgrading. In Government action, focusing on the automotive industry policy, pointing out the main reason of auto industry policy failure in recent decades, the chapter analyzes the internal mechanism between government action and the automotive industrial upgrading. Finally, Chapter V gives the thoughts and Strategies of China’s automotive industrial upgrading and prospects for the development of new energy automotive industry under Global Value Chains Specialization. The objective intervention, stage jumping and autonomy development are continuous in time and co-exist in space. The specific countermeasures are to strengthen the quality control of automotive products and services, to improve the capability of independent innovation, to strengthen cooperation with foreign investors and accelerate the transformation of the automotive industry polices. |
