The development of agricultural mechanization is an important symbol ofaccelerating the process of building modern agriculture, the level of agriculturalmechanization technology is determined by the speed of agricultural industrializationand modernization. Along with deepening of reform and opening up, the primary aimof building agriculture mechanization security system is the development ofagricultural machinery insurance.With the further development of agricultural mechanization in our country inrecent years, the farm machinery insurance is apparently important as the backupprotection strength of agricultural machinery in the manufacturing process. Since the1940s, because our country agricultural machinery insurance policy is not sound, themarket is not stable, farmers do not accept it and such factors as restriction, hinderedthe development of agricultural mechanization. On the basis of the research status ofdomestic and foreign agricultural insurance, this paper recognizes and reveals thefarm machinery insurance development present situation, the characteristics; putsforward contradictions and the selection of development model between agriculturalmechanization and agricultural machinery insurance in the current; researches in ourcountry agricultural machinery insurance development mode, Combined with thesuccessful foreign experience to explore; and puts forward the improvementsuggestions in terms of system perfecting, fund raising, staff training, networkestablishing and so on. To vigorously develop agricultural machinery insurance isbeneficial to improve the system for the steady development of agriculturalmechanization and provides a solid backing insurance service for the greaterdevelopment of agricultural mechanization.
