Countermeasure Research And Sustainable Development Of Sugarcane Industry In Neijiang City

The thesis aims to point out the reasons that limit the development of the cane industry and propose several strathgies for its sustainable development by investigating and analysing the natural environment of cane industry in Nei Jiang and its cultivation history of economic status. The conclusions include:First, Nei Jiang has unique natural conditions, strong historical base and transportation advantages, which fits the development of the cane industry. Therefore, the cane industry has a great potential and advantage in Nei Jiang.Second, the cane industry of Nei Jiang plays a significant role in the development of its economy. It is a major resource of farmers’ income and financial revenue.Third, the demand of the international sugar market and the promotion and utilization of the Ethanol provide a very broad market prospects for the deevelopment of Nei Jiang’s cane industry.Forth, the sustainable development of Nei Jiang’s cane industry confronts major problems, including the seriousness of its single species and the slowness of its renewal. Second, the ability of the science and technology cannot meet the need of its development and the management of its cultivation is poor. Third, the wild flutuation of the international sugar market has a profund influence over it and the enthusiasm of the cane planting is unstable. Fourth, the industry chain of cane is short and the processing and conversion rate is low. Fifth, the basic conditions for production is weak and the ability to resist risks is poor. Sixth, market information and sales channels are sluggish. Seventh, the scale of planting is scattered and the level of mechanization is low. Last but not the least, soil fatigue, serious disease and unstable prodution cannot be ignored.With regard to the current situation of Nei Jiang’s cane industry, the author gives several suggestions so as to achieve the sustainable development of the cane industry. First, establish the promotion systemof the improved varieties and speed up the replacement of varieties. Second, set up incentive mechanisms and protect the interests of farmers. Third,strengthen the infrastructural construction of the cane field and improve the comprehensive production capacity of the cane. Fourth, enhance the level of social services building and complete the social service system of the cane production. Fifth, protect the agricultural ecological environment and implement the strategy of sustainable development. Sixth, accelerate the large-scale cultivation of the cane planting and improve the mechanization of the cane production. Seventh, reinforce the deep processing and comprehensive utilization of the cane and extend the cane industry chain. Eighth, increase the popularity of science and technology efforts and provide technical support for the cane production. Ninth, reinforce macro-control efforts, deepen the structural reform and offer policy protection. Tenth, increase support for efforts, improve the level of opening up to the outside world and develop a number of leading enterprises for suger manufacture.
