An Empirical Study On The Relationship Of The Triple Bottom Line

Since the beginning of the21st century, sustainable development has become a worldwide consensus and the trend. The traditional model of economic development that for the primary purpose of accumulating wealth has caused Frequent outbreaks of the drawbacks, which make people clearly recognize that the traditional model of development not only cannot promote economic development but will be counterproductive to hinder normal economic development. Only the implementation of the new economic model and taking the path of sustainable development is a permanent solution. The Corporate Triple Bottom line theory is a performance evaluation of the enterprise in three aspects, namely, economic development, environmental protection and social well-being, to achieve sustainable development. However, it is worth noting that the relationship between the triple bottom line is not clear, and that’s why this paper is going to study on it.In this paper, an empirical study is held of the relationship among the enterprise’s triple bottom line. After sorting out the related literature at home and abroad, we elaborate the triple bottom line theory in detail, and propose the relationship between the enterprise triple performance assumptions on this basis. Combining the traditional economic evaluation model with the G3reporting framework to choose the economic performance indicators, the environmental performance indicators and the social performance indicators.This paper selects the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed company in2010as a research object, using the way of empirical test to verify the correlation between the triple bottom line. Considering All levels of the Accuracy and Accessibility of the status, this paper select the representative index,using factor analysis method, and investigated the relationship between the enterprise triple bottom line, which are the core chapters of this study. The results of this study show that there is Positive correlation between each two of the Triple Bottom line.This paper make a summary after the above work done,pointing out the innovation and limitations of the article, and summarize the subject which may be continued to deepen the study.
