| Science fiction is the most successful art, which is a combination of science andliterature. It focuses on the far-reaching influence of natural ecosystem and humancivilization in the development of science and technology. After a long process of morethan a century, Chinese science fiction has become mature gradually from naive.Expanding of writing material, improving of writing method and the expanding ofcreators and readers improve scale and quality of Chinese science fiction. At the sametime, along with the progress of science and technology as well as the influence ofwestern philosophy and ecology, the creation and development road of Chinese sciencefiction will be more open.This thesis tries to discuss the dialectical understanding about the influence ofscience and technology in the different backgrounds of Chinese science fiction. It pointsout that Chinese science fiction not only shows optimistic attitude on science andtechnology in saving and strengthening the nation, but also shows critical reflection ofthe negative effect that science and technology destructs environment and humansociety. At the same time, with the help of Chinese traditional culture, westernphilosophy and other related theory, I try to find the cause about the changes of the viewof science and technology, and make evaluation of it. I hope this thesis will producecertain reference value and practical significance of Chinese science fiction and thesocial practice of human’s activities.This thesis is composed of six parts:the preface,the main text (divides into four chapters) and the conclusion.The preface points out that the development of Chinese science fiction has a largerscale, which provides a better basis for researching the view of science and technologyin Chinese science fiction; and then discusses the current research situation of domesticscholars on science and technology in science fiction; finally it shows the innovationand academic value. The first chapter elaborates the worship consciousness on view of science andtechnology in Chinese science fiction. The first section points out that from late QingDynasty to the establishment of the new China, many science fiction writers expect thatscience and technology can save the nation by writing science fiction. The secondsection points out after1950s, many science fiction writers exaggerate the benefits ofscience and technology, which shows worship consciousness of the progress of scienceand technology.The second chapter and the third chapter from two different levels respectivelyexpound the technological criticism consciousness in Chinese science fiction.The second chapter pays attention on the negative effect of science and technologyto the natural ecology, which indicates that there is a kind of criticism consciousness inChinese science fiction. The first section shows that in Chinese science fiction, manyworks are different, but they all reflect the destruction of the natural environment byusing science and technology; and it points out that the rationality of science andtechnology and the human centralism are the main origins. The section second pointsout that Chinese science fiction shows the living conditions of humans and other speciesafter ecological destruction, and science fiction writers warn that we human beings musthave dialectical view of science and rationality and correctly deal with The relationshipof human and nature.The third chapter expounds the negative effect of science and technology to thesocial life, which indicates that there is a kind of criticism consciousness in Chinesescience fiction. The first section points out that in Chinese science fiction,"newproduct"--"artificial person" has produced important influence on people’s life, andscience fiction writers show the conflict between science and technology and ethics.The second section points out that Chinese science fiction also concern about the impactof technology on human beings, and science fiction writers want to show that thetechnology is easy to cause the human beings lost and humanity slavery throughdescribing the development of network information technology and the application ofrobot.The fourth chapter carries on the appraisal to the view of science and technology in Chinese science fiction. The first section points out that the rethink of science andtechnology is a performance of humanistic care in the Chinese writers’ creation, whichcould promote the long-term development of Chinese science fiction; but it needs theimproving of attainments in literature and science for Chinese science fiction writers.The second section points out that the importance and value of researching the view ofscience and technology in Chinese science fiction lies in the correct understanding ofrelations between technology, nature, society and human; at the same time, in order toachieve better development of human future, we should avoid or reduce the negativeimpact of science and technology.The conclusion reemphasizes the necessity and important value of developingChinese science fiction, and guide people to pay attention to the creation anddevelopment of Chinese science fiction, as well as the reality and future of humanbeings. |
