With the development of economic globalization and the arrival of the era of knowledge economy, market competition is increasingly intensified; Innovation ability has become a key factor of enterprise performance and survival ability. However, enterprises can realize innovation depends mainly on the knowledge enterprise have, knowledge management capability of the enterprise have a positive impact on innovation performance. At the same time, the research of knowledge management and human resource management research is inseparable, knowledge acquisition, sharing and application behaviors are closely related to human resource management practices. High performance work system is emphasized from the perspective of system, realize the integration of human resource practices and it has a positive impact on innovation performance of the enterprise, but the mechanism still needs further research. In addition, the connotation and composition of high performance work system is different in different management scenario. China is in social transition, the environment which the enterprises are facing is different from the west’s enterprise therefore, it is necessary to verify the relationship of high performance work system and the enterprise innovation performance in the situation of China.Based on sorting and analyzing related literature, this paper presents a study of the basic model and research hypothesis. The paper studied the influence mechanism between high performance work system and the enterprise innovation performance from the perspective of knowledge management. High performance work system is divided into eight dimensions, they respectively are extensive training, competition and discipline management, information sharing, and strict recruitment, based on the results of the assessment, salary management, internal labor market, and employee involvement. Knowledge management ability is analyzed from the stages of knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing and knowledge application ability. Then this article adopts the method of questionnaire for data collection, this paper has collected257valid questionnaires from the research object that coming from human resources managers and key employees enterprise. This paper uses spss17.0to test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire after clearing on the sample data, and then the relationship between the various variables is verified on through the descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.Through the data analysis, the main conclusions of this study was that in the Chinese scenario, high performance work system has significant positive influence to the enterprise innovation performance and knowledge management capability; Knowledge management ability have a positive impact on innovation performance of enterprise, and knowledge management ability play a partial mediation effect between the high performance work system and enterprise innovation performance.
