According to " China’s railway development and long-term railway network plan", to2020, China will achieve railway120,000km, including over16,000km high-speed railway. In the current critical period of rapid development, China’s railway has the urgent need to establish a rational structure, high overall quality of the railway locomotive crew team. Talents for the future development of the railway locomotive crew will be a daunting task.It requires to find a guide that can condut rail locomotive crew selection, training, assessment of the key factors to achieve further railway locomotive crew human resource development.In this paper, we take railway locomotive crew as the research object, starting with a literature review, integrate theories about personality traits, job performance, personality traits affect job performance; combining with domestic and foreign railway personality traits, personality traits related jobs talent on job performance. Then, for the Beijing Railway Bureau, Harbin Railway Bureau, the Shanghai Railway Bureau, Wuhan Railway Bureau, Nanchang Railway Bureau, Hohhot Railway Bureau, the Guangzhou Railway Group, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Railway Bureau, we make research on870drivers to collect data.Based on the survey data, firstly I take the study of personality traits on railway locomotive crew. Mainly including:railway locomotive crew cartel16PF raw scores’ comparison with national norms; railway locomotive crew cartel secondary personality analysis; building railway locomotive crew vocational personality multidimensional model. Secondly, the paper carried railway locomotive crew personality impact on job performance studies, using SPSS software and stepwise regression methods to analysis the relationships between personality traits and task performance, contextual performance-interpersonal promotion, relationship performance-work dedication, job performance.At last I obtained the conclusion that in the cartel16PF immutability (G), Boldness (H), stability (C), tension (Q4) can predict job performance. Based on the above findings, we can get the guidance about the railway locomotive crew selection, training, career planning and other aspects.
