Toyota Corporation invents this theory, and the application effect is remarkable. China’s automobile manufacturing and assembly-line manufacturing had been introduced this theory for a long time and got some achievements after application. A lot of corporations in the center air conditions field also tried to implement this advanced theory, such as Midea, YORK, McQuay and etc, but had little effect. This is mainly caused by these Chinese corporations which didn’t adjust the theory according to their situation, and didn’t make them work correctly. In this article, it will show you how the lean production theory helps M.UNIVERSE Corporation to reduce inventory by reform according to its situation.In the article, M.UNIVERSE Corporation’s new inventory mode is the essence from lean production theory. M.UNIVERSE Corporation is a center air conditions manufacture which faces the challenge from mass production, large consumption, large turnover, and large inventory and cannot deliver on time in its operation and management. According to these issues, M.UNIVERSE Corporation started a series of reform, including planning, organizing, scheduling, coordinating in the production system, production and operations management related process in the site management system，and proposed a reform program to adapter immediate production.Reform program proposed a process re-design and responsibilities re-division, focusing on orders and reasonable delivery time, assisting with pull mode of production tools, ABC analysis and VMI inventory management, stressing pulling production and improving work efficiency.The purpose is that an intermediate product turnover and turnover in finished goods inventories substantially were reduced productivity more than50%.Reform program proposed MRP production by PO.
