Reducing operating costs and financing became most container shipping companies’s problem.China COSCO container related companies as China’s major container shipping business, also been greatly affected.This paper describes the importance of container transport business.According to the advanced theory of domestic and foreign suppliers management, combined with COSCO container truck transportation business in the actual demand,the paper propose specific ways to improve it in supplier management, supplier selection, supplier evaluation.This paper is study on China COSCO domestic container truck transport providers selection. First of all, the evaluation framework for truck transport provider selection is detailed. The proposed methodology procedure is applied next. This is realized by adopting a modified Delphi method with the cooperation of multiple experts to establish an evaluation criteria hierarchy. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) methodology are then employed to support the whole benchmarking process. Then it describes briefly the application of proposed framework to truck transport provider selection. Therefore, the aim of this study is to propose a MCDM approach to evaluate the providers in respect to the experts’preferences order. By proposing a MCDM model, this paper will not only assist managers in making better decisions, but will also help them to select the best provider by using a two-phase AHP and TOPSIS methodology.According to the centralized management of China COSCO Container truck transport provider business, the ways to effectively integrate COSCO Container truck transport resources. It can enhance the COSCO Container truck transport capacity and enhance container business service levels and overall marketing capabilities, and further explore the cost of extending the business space, reflecting the operating efficiency. |
