| Beginning in2004, the central government have burst nine documents about three-dimensional rural, and the18th national congress of the Communist Party of China stressed that the Party’s the most important work is to solve the issue of agriculture and rural farmers. The "three-dimensional rural problems" is not only the basic problems of China’s modernization, and also related to China’s industrialization and urbanization, and common prosperity, sustainable development and people-oriented, and a series of major issues of social development in China. We can say "three rural issues" is the biggest problem to solve in the next several years about the modernization of the country. To solve the "three-dimensional rural problems", the most fundamental is issue of farmers, while the issue of farmers’ information needs is an important content of the issue of farmers. However, in the vast rural areas, farmers demand has been not high, and what information do farmers need? What factors affect the information needs of the farmers? As the starting point to study the information needs of farmers, this paper tries to identify the critical factors affecting farmers’ information needs, so as to provide some reference information for solving the "three rural issues..The first chapter introduces the research background, research significance, the purpose of the study, research methods and research ideas framework.. The second chapter summary The second chapter first defies the concept of the information needs of farmers involved in the thesis, the second section describes the theoretical basis of this study, and last we summary the literature review of research on the information needs of farmers. The third chapter is divided into three parts. The first part is a brief introduction of the status of agricultural development in Nanchong City, the second part is to describe the content of the information needs of farmers in Nanchong City, the third part is to describe the impact of factors affecting the information needs of farmers in Nanchong City. The content of the fourth chapter is data analysis. In this chapter, by using descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis, we examine the influence of factors affecting the information needs of farmers in Nanchong City.In the fifth chapter, we proposed policy recommendations to improve the level of farmers’ information needs in Nanchong City from five directions on the basis of the empirical research conclusions of the fourth chapter. In addition, we list the disadvantages and limitations of the study in the last chapter. The topic of this paper is "an empirical study on the influence factors of the information needs of farmers in Nanchong City".According to the topic, we can explain from four directions. Firstly, the scope of our study is Nanchong City, including Ma’an town, Qishan Township, Fuhu town and Taiping town. The data collection is done through the form of questionnaires and interviews. Secondly, broad and narrow definitions of the information needs of farmers are used in the past study. Our definition of the information needs of farmers is narrow definition including life information needs of farmers and productional information needs of farmers. In this paper the information needs of farmers is measured with technology information needs of the farming, technology information needs of the aquaculture industry, demand for agricultural market information, demand for labor and employment information and so on.. Thirdly, each researcher selected factors in different ways. There are no fixed factors be suitable for all areas of research completely. Based on the research of others, this paper selects twenty factors from four aspects by combining with the specific circumstances of Nanchong City.At last, we use descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis in data analysis. According to the information gathered by the questionnaire, we makes corresponding hypothesizes. Then we use SPSS18.0statistical software to analyze data correlation, and use the results of the correlation analysis to test hypotheses, and to identify the dependent variable of the significant factors. Finally, using logistic regression analysis, we test the model according to the results of the regression analysis.Through the study of this article, we have the following conclusions:(1)On the influence factors of influencing farmers’ information demand, since each area’s actual situation is different, many factors affect farmers’ information demand and this is also very complicated. In the existing index system, there is not a set ofindex system is completely suitable for the study of every place. Suitable index system must combine with local actual situation..(2)On the influence factors of farmers’ information demand, from farmers’ perspective, the agricultural information service ability of government are the main factors affecting farmers’ information demand; from the objective perspective, the farmers farming is the main source of family income or not are the main factors affecting farmers’ information demand; from transmission channels, TV is the main factors affecting farmers’ information demand.(3)Things may change in the future. Along with the development of the economy, Internet will play a more and more important role in affecting the farmers’information demand. Enterprise+farmers, scientific research colleges and universities+farmers, as well as the government+company+farmers+scientific research colleges, the promotion of the many kinds of agriculture information service mode will be a big impact on farmers’ information demand. New land management patterns, such as contract system owner also can have an important impact on farmers’ information demand. This article introduces some new ideas and has practice significance and academic significance:(1) Practice significance. In the18th national congress of the Communist Party, our party put three-dimensional rural in important position. Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy. The rural is the main domain of social construction. Peasants are the majority of the population in our country. The importance of three-dimensional is obvious. Sometimes the three-dimensional is the core question in our economy. Many people have studied the three-dimensional already. Now some new problems of the three-dimensional rise up. It is necessary to study the three-dimensional. This article chooses farmers’information demand as a topic. Through survey and empirical research in NanChong City, find the key influence factor of farmers’ information demand in NanChong City. For NanChong agricultural related departments to formulate relevant policies to provide some reference and empirical researches. So this article has practice significance..(2) Academic significance. Compared with the studies abroad, study of rural information in China started late, and most of the studies were happened after the reform and opening. People mainly use qualitative method and descriptive statistics to study. On research content, mostly is the study of agricultural information service system building, and many other macro problems. There is little research on small direction. After studying many other researches, this article make a research about NanChong City. We use descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis and logistic analysis to find the factors. The research methods and ideas have certain reference significance for future study of such articles..There are limitations in this article. Due to the author’s academic ability and energy is limit, it is hard to find the most suitable samples for our study. NanChong is a very big city. It has unbalanced economic development. So the sample can not represent in every situation. There are481villages in NanChong, but this article just chooses4villages for studying. And we can do better in making questionnaire. There may be some errors in the variables. So we can take more variables in consideration in the future. So in the future, we should farther this research in many ways and complete this research.. |
