The Effects Of Social Network Of Post-disaster Small And Micro Enterprises On Entrepreneurial Performance

The2008Sichuan earthquake seriously damaged local economic development. People in disaster area make good use of local resources and specialties to the market, which is promoting tourism development. Many tourism-related industries gradually grow and develop. By the development of tourism in the disaster areas and the advantage of government policy, tourism-related small and micro enterprises developed rapidly. Study on the effects of social network of post-disaster small micro-enterprises’entrepreneurial performance, help post-disaster entrepreneurs better use their own social network to start their own businesses, that is good to their own re-employment, and the re-employment of other job-waiting people.The study is made by the questionnaire sample collection and the case study. The questionnaire sample selection criteria:(1) The enterprise established after12May,2008;(2) Satisfying the definition of small and micro enterprises;(3) Investigation object must be in the disaster areas. The sample data is finished in Wenchuan, Guangyuan, Yingxiu, and Dujiangyan. Valid questionnaires are104copies. In this study, research method of the paper contains literature analysis, case studies and statistical analysis. The main conclusions of this study include the following:First, explore the characteristics of social network of the post-disaster small and micro enterprises. Trade of post-disaster small and micro enterprises are mainly concentrated in food and beverage industry, lodging industry, and retail industry. Operating income of most small and micro enterprises is less than500thousands. Small and micro enterprises use their own social networks to solve the problem of scale in "less than10". Social networks of small and micro enterprises mainly in the network of relationships with relatives and friends, the sample data show that, in the entrepreneurial process, small and micro enterprises have not made use of the network of relationships and non-profit organizations and customers to conduct business. Venture case of small and micro enterprises, small and micro enterprises social networking object contains not only relatives, friends, government, peers, also includes non-profit organizations and customers. This proves that the entrepreneurs of small and micro enterprises to take advantage of the diversity of social networks.Second, research the impact of social network on entrepreneurial performance model. Post-disaster entrepreneur social networks, friends and relatives, nonprofit organizations, peer will give small and micro enterprises, entrepreneurial opportunities, and financial support, thus affecting the entrepreneurial performance of small and micro enterprises. Based on this, the social networks of small and micro enterprises entrepreneurial performance is significant. The purpose of post-disaster small and micro enterprises, the structural characteristics of the social networks of entrepreneurs’ network centrality and network size, relationship characteristics refer to intercourse frequency, level of intimacy and mutual exchange. The entrepreneurial performance metrics, including corporate income and profitability, market share, technological innovation and corporate reputation. Play a key role in the entrepreneur social networks affect entrepreneurial performance, structural characteristics and relationship characteristics.This study combined with post-disaster social network characteristics of entrepreneurs in small and micro enterprises in the sociology of social network theory is applied to the study of small and micro enterprises corporate social network dimension, social network characteristics and post-disaster small micro-enterprise entrepreneurs, venture by social networks on the entrepreneurial process and the entrepreneurial performance impact mechanism empirical analysis.
