In China’s current energy development strategy, the coal-fired power generation occupies a very important position,60percent of coal mining is for power generation. In total generating capacity of the whole society, the coal-fired power generation accounted for more than70percent, and in a period of time, coal-fired Power generation will occupy an important position. China’s coal production areas are mainly located in the northwest, but most of the thermal power installed capacity is located in east, north and south-central region, therefore, the transportation and inventory of coal in China’s economic development plays an important role. This article will base on the perspective of multi-level inventory, study how multi-level inventory control and optimization of the entire electricity coal supply chain, reduce inventory costs, benefits to the enterprises.Inventory control and optimization is an important aspect at production activity of enterprise, especially in recent years, supply chain and logistics development, research on enterprise inventory control and optimization for electricity coal supply chain cost savings, improve the overall efficiency of the electricity coal supply chain has very important significance.The article analyzes the electricity coal supply chain inventory management status, find the problem of electricity coal supply chain inventory management, and propose optimization requirements; then bases on the research of multi level inventory management of electricity coal supply chain, design a multi-level inventory model structure and the electricity coal supply chain network model, proposes strategies for multi-level inventory control and optimization of electricity coal supply chain, lays foundation for the model. Finally, the article studies multi-level inventory of the electricity coal supply chain, establishes a multi-level inventory model and multi-level inventory control and optimization models, and validates them by empirical.This article is mainly research the multi-level inventory problem of the electricity coal supply chain. From the basic concepts of multi-level inventory to multi- level inventory control of electricity coal supply chain, focusing on research to discuss the multi-level inventory control of electricity coal supply chain, storage between the optimal scheduling problem.In this article, the existing inventory management system is done further, establish a multi-echelon inventory control and optimization models, not only to consider the cost of inventory control, but also to add out of stock time and number. The scheduling makes the original inventory control and optimization have been greatly improved. Finally, using genetic algorithm to optimize the inventory cost, through empirical validation of the optimization results, the models does reduce the total of the electricity coal supply chain inventory costs, increases the profits of each enterprises.
