Food And Agriculture Organization Of The United Nations(FAO) Data Quality Management System And Its Revelation To China

With the rapid economic development of society, people have a increasingly high demand for the quality of statistical data. The quality of statistical data also play an increasingly important role in the socio-economic development. Domestic and foreign scholars give more and more concerned about the quality of data, they conducted a lot of scientific research and get much good scientific research. But for now there is a huge gap between our data quality management system with data quality management system of developed countries and international organizations. In order to narrow the difference and to improve the quality of our data, domestic scholars conduct an in-depth study about the data quality management system of foreign countries and international organizations, combined with China facts and to find something we can learn. However, in the research of data quality management system based on other countries and international organizations, Chinese scholars have generally ignored the data quality management system of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the research on it less and less. But FAO as an international organization established specifically for agriculture, there must have its own unique worth learn from it in agricultural statistics. Our people and scholars put attention and effort in China’s domestic agricultural statistics are quite small. China as a large agricultural country, whether it is doing a good agricultural statistics work is a problem that we must deal. Therefore, I hope to be able to find something that worth we data quality management can learn and use, by researching data quality management system of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO),especially for agricultural statistics reference,and it will provide some help and reference for quality management of agricultural statistics.The thesis is divided into six chapters, the first chapter is introduction,the first thing to describe in the first chapter is the topics of the purpose and significance of the topic, and then introduced the research data quality management system from the two aspects of the domestic research and foreign research, and finally made a brief introduction on the content of this study and research methods;The main content of the second chapter is the quality of data and quality management system meaning set forth, in this chapter it mainly carried on the related theoretical explanation, and it expounded the meaning of data quality and data quality management system to pave the way for the following studies discuss;Chapter III is about the research of FAO data quality management system,The author to study the the FAO data quality management from FAO’s statistical agency, Statistics, statistical data processing, announcement of statistical data, statistical data assessment, statistical data applications these six aspects,to discuss the pros and cons of these six aspects of data quality management and compared it with China Agricultural Statistics data management, finally to find out the difference between the two;there adopt fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for Chinese agricultural statistics data quality assess in the Chapter Ⅳ;The fifth Chapter is to put forward the author’s recommendations and proposals according to the results of the assessment and in front of the FAO findings from statistical agencies, statistical data, statistical data processing, the announcement of the statistical data, statistical data evaluation, statistical data applications several aspects;The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this article,there is for a summary of the work done on the papers and proposed some further studies of the department in this article requires.
