High-star hotel carries to meet customers’ all aspects of service requirements such asfood, shelter, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment. For such diversified andintegrated service, cost control is recognized to manage the most difficult industries.G Hotel is a four-star hotel (joint venture), Operating characteristics is the hot spring spafor a relaxing break. Its meticulous service impresses itself on customers’ minds. This positionmakes the hotel stand out in this region. But by the end of2012,"The Eight Regulations" and"The Six Ban" policies impact on the high-star hotel income. Its turnover declined sharplyduring the whole2013year. And the hotel industry competition is more intense. In order toachieve greater economic efficiency and stand out in the fierce competition, the hotel managershould re-enact the hotel management ideas, approaches and explore the road of reform forhotel management. To seek greater development space they must cut expenditure. This articlejust discussed cost-cutting.Starting with the management of G hotel, this thesis first analysis cost of food﹠beverage department and SPA department. Combining my own working experience in G hoteland studying the theory of cost control point out the shortage I find. And then put forwardsome views and suggest about cost control.
