Measure And Influencing Factors Of Chinese Income Gap Between Rural Residents

The income gap has been the focus of economic research areas， the income gap is toolarge to produce a variety of negative effects. Since the reform and opening up, Chinaachieved remarkable achievements，our living standards have been greatly improved, but theincome gap residents of residents is also apparent, especially in rural areas of our country.Widen the income gap between rural residents will not only affect the new rural construction,but also affect social stability, so a correct understanding of current situation of China’sincome gap between rural residents and grasp the factors affecting the widening income gapand policies is particularly important. This paper calculate the perspective of both vertical andhorizontal extent of the income gap between rural residents and found that the income gapbetween rural residents in China is not only the timing of the tendency to expand, in theregion also have shown a tendency to expand, sources of income differences between farmers,farmers own different conditions, different development between regions are the main factorsleading to expansion of the income gap between rural residents. Finally, this paper proposesfive suggestions about narrowing the income gap between rural residents: improveagricultural support and protection system, increase farmers’ income levels; vigorouslydevelop non-agricultural industries, increase farmers’ wage income; improving the quality ofrural labor, enhance the ability of the level of employment and re-employment of rural labor;strengthen farmers into the employment service system, improve the protection of migrantworkers mechanism; further promote the coordinated development of regional economy.
