Research On Priority Strategy Of Storage And Retrieval Based On The Minimum Cost In AS/RS Warehousing System

In recent years, with continuous development of human society and changing productdemand, strategy in storage and retrieval to various products have their respectiveadvantages and disadvantages, which lead to the fact that taking a different storage andretrieval policy will affect the overall operational efficiency of the supply chain. Thearticle mainly concerns with two kinds of priority strategy in storage and retrieval process.First, in the process of storage and retrieval, some products of the same category mayexceed the time limit soon. So in order to avoid the expiration of causing moreunnecessary cost, the products close to expiration would adopt the priority strategy to bedealt with in advance. During the whole storage circle, a stable time point is set to groupthe products needed to be retrieved by priority strategy. Afterwards, those pretreatedproducts are supposed to be collected together in terms of periodical method andqualitative method. By modeling and calculating analysis, the overall cost under the twocircumstances will be checked and compared in order to provide a solid basis for theresearch on both effective storage and retrieval strategy and also the choice of parameter.Besides, the article extends the research on priority strategy for the multi-products. In theprocess of storage and retrieval, probably a sharp increase for one kind of products willlead to the shortage of its supply, which would cause the penalty cost because of the shortsupply. By modeling and analyzing, the research shows the relationship between thepriority strategies with parameters of different aspects.
