| In recent years, the new new trade theory has become the forefront of theinternational trade theories. The binary marginal of trade growth is one of theimportant contents of the new new trade theory. Its mechanism of action andtheoretical basis are constantly improving and have been widely confirmed bynational trade practices. From1996to2010the export scale of chinese high-techproducts grows rapidly. The trade deficit turns into the trade surplus and surpluscontinues to expand. The trade competion aslo increases year by year.By calculatingand analyzing the bivariate marginal of the high-tech products’export of China with99major trading partners we find that the growth of China’s high-tech product’export to the overall world or to the export market and major trading partners isbenefit from the intensive margin, the growth rate should be intensive margin muchhigher than the growth rate of the marginal expansion.the pulling function of theextended marginal is limited. Taken the United States as the reference country, webuild the VAR model to analysis the bivariate marginal of the export of high-techproducts in China and its influence on competitive advantage. The result shows thatthe contribution rate of the extensive margin of the export of high-tech products inChina is significantly lower than that in the USA.While the intensive margin isslightly higher. That indicates the export varieties of China’s high-tech products aresignificantly lower than the USA.Combined with the status quo of the export ofChina’s high-tech products we can find the reason. The reason are the lack of theindependent brands and the weakness of independent research ability and thesingleness of export structure. What’s more, the serious dependence on whollyforeign owned enterprise and the processing trade also give rise to that. Therefore, toenhance the export competitiveness of high-tech products and promote their exportsChina must continue to strengthen its R&D capabilities and use the foreigninvestment fully and properly.China should also promote the diversification of theexport market and develop the state-owned high-tech export enterprises.Thegovernment should give the institutional policy tilt and pay attention to the effectivecombination of the talent introduction and training mechanism. They should aslorely on good economic and social environment to form good production mechanismand innovation mechanism. Then the bivariate marginal and extended marginal ofthe export of high-tech products in China will be increased to ensure the trade ofChina’s high-tech products developing rapidly and healthily. |
