Although, in recent years, we have set up environmental energyexchange in various provinces and cities in our country, but the domestic carbonemissions trading market is just starting, which is still in the process of exploring,there are a lot of drawbacks, and there is a distance away from establishing carbonemissions trading market in the true sense. In the environment of the vigorousdevelopment in the international carbon emissions trading market, in order to get thediscourse in the international carbon emissions trading market for our country, and toprotect the biggest rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, China should acceleratethe development of our own carbon emissions trading market, and actively participatein the international carbon emissions trading system, to get a seat in the future market.As current reality, China’s carbon emissions trading market is facing opportunities aswell as challenges, to establish and improve the carbon trading market is particularlyimportant. Our country should actively construct China’s carbon emissions tradingmarket accords with the situation now, and enter the international market, to adapt tothe trend of the development of green economy.The first part of this paper describes the global climate problem and the status ofcarbon emission reduction which show the urgency that china should build thedomestic carbon emission trading market and participate in the national carbonemission trading market. Then according to the time series data from1985to2010of the per capita carbon emissions and GDP in China, we analysis the relationshipbetween carbon dioxide emissions and economic growth, and give the graph ofChina’s carbon dioxide emissions intensity, then according to the data of eachprovinces’ carbon dioxide emissions and GDP from2005to2010, we emphaticallyanalyzed the relationship between carbon emissions and GDP in this period, theconclusions are consistent. The results show that there exists a long-term equilibriumrelationship and a two-way causality between carbon dioxide emissions and economicgrowth. Next this paper analyzed the impacts of building carbon emission tradingmarket to reduce carbon emissions in our country from the view of market mechanism,price mechanism and competition mechanism. At the same time, the paper introducedthe carbon derivatives market such as carbon emission option and carbon emissionfutures, to provide a theoretical basis for building a complete carbon trading marketsystem. After the above analysis of the internal mechanism of carbon emissionstrading market.The fifth part of the paper returns to the present situation of China’scarbon emissions trading market, targeted to design the basic content and methods ofbuilding Chinese characteristic carbon emission trading market system from theperspective of macro and micro so as to implement the spirit of our party’s eighteenthconference, to realize the "twelfth five-year plan" task, to promote our country’s workof tackling climate change, energy conservation and emission reduction moresmoothly, and to provide policy recommendations to the development of the marketand realize the sustainable development of Chinese economy.
