On land of less than5%of the total area ofQinghai Province, Concentrate the major towns and population of Qinghai Province,the total population of the region is3,408,000, representing73.92%of the totalpopulation of Qinghai Province. Therefore, the co-ordination the Hehuang Valleyurban and rural industrial development, push forward the modernization of agricultureand the level of industrialization of rural areas in Qinghai Province,it has greatsignificance to sustainable regional economic development and improve people’slivelihood, improve people’s living standards, and to fully realize a well-off societywith the other provinces of China.This article discusses the significance of co-ordinating the Hehuang Valley urbanand rural industrial development, defined the principle of co-ordinating the urban andrural industrial development,the main task,the goal orientation in the region, and the co-ordinate mode. Through the SWOT analysis method, analyzed the strengths,weaknesses, opportunities and challenges,of co-ordinating urban and rural industrialdevelopment in the region, and put forward the path of of co-ordinating the urban andrural industrial development of the Hehuang Valley.
