A Study On Higher Education For Tourism In Tibet Region

With the development of tourism industry, tourism higher education has begun totake a shape, which offers a large number of professionals for the tourism industry.However, the development of tourism higher education has come a phenomenon thatit is unequally distributed in different regions, especially in Tibet region, whichhinders the further development of Tibetan tourism industry.Indicators of tourism have a very substantial increase under the external andinternal forces in Tibet region. Tourism higher education has also made a greatprogress. But it started later than other places in China, its history has only more thantwenty years, the region’s tourism higher education is currently still in the exploratorystage with many problems.The research of tourism higher education is very rich, but it is limited about Tibetregion. The article is based on some methods like documentary research,questionnaire survey and interviewing. The article is divided into six parts, the prefaceincludes the reason that I wrote this article. The first chapter introduce thedevelopment of Tibet tourism higher education, and proposes countermeasures ofTibet tourism higher education development from several aspects: The institutions,professional setting, curriculum, teachers and so on. The second chapter analyzes theadvantages and disadvantages about tourism higher education in Tibet. The thirdchapter explores the factors of affecting tourism higher education. The fourth chapterproposes the solutions to these problems through macro and micro levels. Finally it isthe conclusion, summarizing the main points of the article results and proposing theweaknesses of the article and the prospects of the research.
