The Construction Of Taizhou Metropolitan Area Under Zhejiang Spatial Development Pattern: Space Orientation And Strategic Choice

Urban circle, the metropolitan area and the other new urban structure indifferent countries have appeared and developed gradually,becomes a modern city system thenew direction of development, under the development of urbanization process.Because of theeconomic globalization and regional economic integration to speed up thedevelopment,metropolitan area that consists of the center city as the core and many small&medium-sized cities, becomes global division of labor and cooperation and competition in theprocess of the basic spatial carrier.it is the urbanization development to a higher stage of theproduct.In the next ten to twenty years’ time,China’s social and economic development of thespace structure will represent the trend of spatial agglomeration.Metropolitan economic area andthe formation of the population with industrial cluster will dominate. Under the background ofthe regional economic integration and the construction of Zhejiang province four majormetropolitan area,in order to keep Taizhou’s regional competitive advantages and regional centercity status in Zhejiang province in the future, Taizhou city space structure need to transform fromcounty economy to the metropolitan area economy.Hence,it can realize all kinds of high-endelements and resources gradually to the center city agglomeration, which can make the scale ofTaizhou city bigger and stronger. Therefore, constructing Taizhou metropolitan area relates toTaizhou region economy development in the future and the status of the Yangtze river deltacity.it also will have a direct impact on Taizhou urbanization and regional competitiveness ofascension.In this paper,at first it will review China’s regional development strategy pattern evolutionand modern space strategy,and then it puts forward the related concept of metropolitan area andthe connotation of metropolitan area.Second,analyze, which spatial pattern of regional economicdevelopment in Zhejiang province,the regional development of Taizhou: the challenges、 opportunities、strategic choice and development goal.Then,considering that constructs themetropolitan area is the only way for Taizhou to transform from county economy to theeconomic of the metropolitan area.Third,this paper expounds the Taizhou city developmentprocess、urban spatial structure characteristics and interaction factor analysis.Fourth,mainlyusing quantitative method to illustrate the Taizhou city regional urban space contact strength.SPSS software is used to the comprehensive economic quality calculation and analysis of allcounties in Taizhou; by adding economic distance coefficient to calculate the local and Taizhouarea economic distance; modified economic gravity model is applied to calculating the city andcounties in Taizhou between "economy" gravity. Then,it will present the comparative analysis ofthe metropolitan areas,which are inside and outside of Zhejiang province. In Zhejiang province,Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou and outside the province’s Zibo, Yangzhou, Nantong and Taizhouthe present situation and the development level of the comparison,mainly includes the Taizhoucity of high-end elements difference of empirical analysis; analyzing the comparative betweenindustry level and services of Taizhou and the cities refered, etc. At last, the paper mainlypresents the deficiency of Taizhou’s metropolitan area development; and then putting forwardthe space optimization strategy and related policy and suggestions of Taizhou metropolitan area’sdevelopment.
