Empirical Study On Industrial Structure Evolution And Economic Development In Hebei Province

The industrial structure evolution will promote economic growth; economic growth willalso promote industrial structure evolution, which has already been proved by many countriesin economic development. Especially in the modem economic growth, the interactionbetween industrial structure evolution and economic development is more and more obviousand mutual promotion and inseparable, common development.At present, Hebei province is in a certain period of the economic transformation andrealizeing “the big changes in three years”. So this article is studying the relationgshipbetween industrial structure evolution of Hebei province and economic growth from this era.This paper first reviews the domestic and international research literature, related theory andoverseas industrial structure evolution regularity of developed countries; and then this articlecompares Hebei province with foreign countries and domestic industrial structure evolutiontrend, and overall analyzed Hebei province industrial structure development from industrialoutput value structure and employment structure, and further to the interior of thrice industrialanalyses the evolution of industrial structure; then using of shift-share analysis (SSM), wediscover economic growth and industrial structure evolution relationship through compareeconomic growth in Hebei province with the national and Beijing regional economic growthfor the standard; and then using Hebei gross domestic product, the first, second and thirdindustry the sample observation value from1981to2009, to establish regression model toverify the industrial structure evolution contribute to economy in Hebei province, and deepinto the internal of thrice industrial. Then through using Granger causality test, verified therelationship between the industrial structure evolution and economic growth, and finally putsforward some problems in the process of economic growth and the optimized suggestions inHebei province.This research conclusion shows that though Hebei province is a big agricultural province but not strong province, the overall quality of agricultural science and technology is not high,the pillar industry not outstanding, modernization development insufficiency; industrialeconomy inferior inefficient; innovation service industry development is insufficient andinternal industry development is not rational, etc. So if we want to quickly realize in Hebeiprovince economic transformation and “the big changes in three years”, we must activelypromote the industrialized operation of agriculture, extend the industrial chain, improvementof modern agriculture industry system; through the establishment of modern industrial system,died out backward production industry, accelerate the industrial transformation; developinginnovative services, actively broaden the employment channels.
