Study On Land Resource Integrated Carrying Capacity In Nanchang City

Resources integrated carrying capacity is the quantity and quality of resources in acountry or a region which supports the basic survival and development of the people inthe space. And it’s the important embodiment of the sustainable development. Estimatingthe land carrying capacity of a country or a region becomes an objective requirement forpromoting the coordinated development of population, resources, economy andenvironment, and achieving the sustainable development strategy. As the capital city ofJiangxi province, Nanchang is the political, economic, cultural, technological, andtransportation center of the whole province. And it’s also a megalopolis and center city inthe middle and lower reaches of Changjiang River. Accurate estimating the land resourceintegrated carrying capacity in Nanchang city has great theoretical meaning and realisticmeaning for its future development. This paper summarizes the theories and researchmethods of land carrying capacity at home and abroad, then use the comprehensiveevaluation to get the current situation of land integrated carrying capacity in Nanchangcity. Use the system dynamics principle to analyze the relations among the variousfactors which affect land carrying capacity. According to the Land use andsocioeconomic situation from1996to2000, use the modeling software VensimPLE tobuild the system dynamics model of land resource integrated carrying capacity inNanchang city. Then debug and modify this model until it is accurate and reasonable.Design four different proposals and run the model as each proposal to get the data of theland resource integrated carrying capacity in Nanchang city from2011to2025.According to the principles of sustainable development, proposal1is optimal.Make some countermeasures of how to boost the land resource integrated carryingcapacity in Nanchang city, which may provide theory reference and scientific basis formajor policy decisions, economic development, planning formulation and policy making.
