The Determinants Of Farmers’ Entrepreneurial Performance Based On Farmer Specialized Cooperative Organizations

Farmer entrepreneurship has become an important way to solve China’s employment of farmers and the development of rural economy. Farmer entrepreneurship based on specialized cooperative organization is an important form of farmer entrepreneurship. It’s institutional innovation, which can help more farmers to participate in entrepreneurship and enjoy entrepreneurial achievements. As a hole, the development level of rural specialized cooperative organizations is very low in China.The low performance of rural specialized cooperative organizations is a prominent problem, farmers’ entrepreneurial performance based on specialized cooperative organizations needs to be further improved.Former researches mostly focused on the macro level, analyzed the current situation and problems, then proposed solving strategies,or emphasizing the importance of farmers entrepreneurship based on specialized cooperative organizations,lacking of quantitative empirical research from micro-level.Combining farmer specialized cooperative organizations with farmers’ entrepreneurship, this paper carry out a quantitative empirical research directing at the performance of particular farmer specialized cooperative organizations. The object of this research is farmer entrepreneurship based on specialized cooperative organizations. With reviewing related literature on farmers’ entrepreneurship performance,farmer specialized cooperative organizations and the influencing factors of farmers’ entrepreneurial performance, we tried to find out the determinants on farmers’ entrepreneurial performance from external and internal of organization,then established a theory model. This model is verified by empirical analysis.The results show that degree of cooperation, farmer entrepreneurs’ qualities, entrepreneurship supportive policy, entrepreneurial network and the different dimensions of them all have a different effect on farmers’ entrepreneurial performance. At the end of this paper, we propose some advices for practice and management of farmers entrepreneurial performance according to results from quantitative empirical research.
