With the development of Internet technology, the domestic laws and regulations and the market environment increasingly mature, electronic commerce based on Internet develop rapidly. The arrival of the era of e-commerce, has great influence on the traditional business model. In recent years with the development of technology and market, as the basis of network operators, Cable television companies has an urgent need to explore for pay television, high-definition TV, interactive TV and broadband services in various forms of value-added service. Therefore, in order to adapt to the times and the needs of the market, rely on the development of electronic business advantage itself is the inevitable trend of the development of cable TV business.The aim of this study is that, through the background analysis of e-commerce status and development trend, combined with cable TV enterprise present industry development and operating environment, with the use of strategic management theory and tool, to analyze how to choose and implement e-commerce strategy of cable TV business.This paper takes GD company as an example, analyzed the internal and external environment of the electronic business development with cable TV enterprise. The good conditions such as the steady growth of national economy, the favorable policies and the progress of technology are good for cable TV enterprise’s electronic commerce development. Although faced with mobile, telecom, Unicom and other telecommunications operators and Internet e-commerce enterprise’s competition, also itself has some problems in the system and the funds, cable companies can still take advantage of network security, services, channels and customer resource advantages, seize new opportunities in the field of electronic commerce.The paper also puts forward suggestions to choose development strategy and competitive strategy for GD company. The GD company should define it’s electronic commerce function as electronic commerce information service providers and electronic sales channels of their own products, to adopt a different strategy in different areas, making recent development goals and long-term development goals, choose to give full play to its advantages of B2B, B2C and O2O e-commerce model, first open the developed markets, focusing on cultivating the customer group.Some problems of innovation, internal management elements of the implementation of technical capacity relates to the electronic commerce strategy for GD company governance and the development of the electronic commerce risk control suggestions are given in the Paper.
